Promoting events on Facebook is uber easy to do no matter if you are creating one for an upcoming birthday party, family gathering, sale or promotion, or any of the many other types of events out there. When creating an event on Facebook there are a few things you might want to remember.
1. Choose a Catchy Event Title!
Which one is more appealing?

2. If At All Possible, Create The Event Under A Personal Account
Doing this allows you the ability to message those invited meaning you can send a reminder to those that have already RSVP’d, but send a more encouraging “you should come” to those that have not yet responded and those that responded as ‘maybe attending’.
If you create an event under your fanpage, you are limiting your messaging capabilities to updating fans of that page so unless you're Oprah, I suggest creating your event under your personal account keeping your fanpage out of the mix.
3. Add An Image
Let’s face it, we are all visual creatures and are drawn to pretty colors so add an image that is eye appealing (make sure it represents what the event is)
4. Add Contact Info
This is an obvious one and I don’t think I need to state why.
5. If It Is An Open Event, Encourage Others To Invite Their Friends
They must select either “maybe” or “Attending” in order to do this.
6. Answer Comments and Clean Up Any Spam
There’s nothing worse than going to an event page to find information and seeing a bunch of garbage that idiots spammed onto the page so make sure you clean it up!
Hope these 6 simple tips help you when you go to create your next Facebook Event!
